Leftover non-alcoholic wine? Here's how to use it up!
Plus, a new white wine review and the chance to meet an industry innovator
Happy Friday party people! It’s finally fall over here after a scorching hot September and first week of October, so you know what’s coming. My usual meme about sweater weather 🤣…
In today’s newsletter:
A cozy fall recipe for all that leftover n/a wine
A new white wine review (and a surprise red wine alternative!)
A winemaker experience with Katja Bernegger from Zeronimo
I recently wanted to test out the newest formulation of the Free Spirits aperitif - rebranded now to be called Aperitivo Milano (so if your bottle says Spirit of Milano it’s an old bottle). I loved it so much that I had to try it in one of my favourite super easy mocktail recipes. I asked Free Spirits for a discount for Some Good Clean Fun readers. Easy fall recipe: Giostra d’Alcol
So you want to open up some non-alcoholic red this weekend, but know you may not finish the whole bottle and worried about wasting it? Fear not, you can always use up that leftover red in this non-alcoholic cocktail that’s super easy and a flavour sensation. It feels kind of like I stepped into a vintage Italian bar and am also simultaneously sitting out in the sun in Sicily. The two n/a products that make this experience possible are my favourite Zeronimo Leonis Blend and the NEW formulation of Free Spirits Aperitivo Milano. The Aperitivo Milano is incredibly similar to a real Campari and is now going to be a permanent fixture on my dry bar.
A non-alcoholic white that was really underwhelming
It’s really rare these days that I open a bottle and find the wine inside really underwhelming. I had to be really honest with myself about whether I actually liked this wine, and why it helps you to pick only the best options when I can be vicious with my feelings. So here it is - the real honest truth about this wine! (Paid subscribers only)
Winemaker Experience with Zeronimo
If you live in or around the Toronto area, this is your chance to meet Katja Bernegger, the cofounder of Zeronimo non-alcoholic wines. She’s flying in from Austria specially to present her wines to you at two Sobr Market tastings. If you’re interested in meeting a female founder who is revolutionizing the non-alcoholic wine category, this is your chance. You can ask all the burning questions like WHY is Zeronimo so good???
